Ashraf El Kady, chairman of The United Bank, announced the opening of the latest two foreign currency exchange offices in Maadi area in Cairo governorate and Raml station area in Alexandria governorate, as part of The United Bank expansion plan 2018 to open 5 exchange offices for foreign currencies at the level of the provinces of the Republic to serve a broad segment of customers.

The inaugurated of the two foreign currency exchange offices was in the presence of Farag Abdel Hamid, Deputy Managing Director, and Nevine Kashmary, Deputy Managing Director of the Business Sector, Rehab Azmy, General Manager of Retail Banking and Branches. And a team of The United Bank team branches Cairo and Alexandria.

Ashraf El Kady, said that The United Bank obtained the approval of The Central Bank of Egypt to open 5 offices to exchange foreign currencies in 2018 in order to meet the needs of customers at the level of all governorates of the Republic. As part of the Bank's integrated strategy to extend banking services to a larger base of customers and beneficiaries in order to achieve the national system of financial coverage.

El Kady pointed out that these offices are in the process of exchanging all types of foreign currency at the official price declared to the United Bank. As part of the regulatory measures of the market announced by The Central Bank of Egypt after the liberalization of the exchange rate in November 2016.

El Kady praised the banks' strategy to expand the establishment of currency exchange and exchange offices after a comprehensive study of the areas that need this service, in addition to the regional expansion to block all ways to tampering with the capabilities of the state, with a degree of ease in dealing away from crowding in the banking halls.

On the choice of places of foreign exchange offices or branches, Ashraf El-Kady pointed out the importance of careful study of the geographical and demographic distribution of the population. The residents of the Maadi area in Cairo and El-Raml station in Alexandria are characterized by a concentration of foreigners. As well as the concentration of internal remittances rates for Egyptians working abroad, as well as the commercial activity of the population.

He added that the foreign exchange offices of The United Bank came in order to extend the banking coverage of the bank services provided to customers at the level of a number of the governorates of the Republic are: Cairo, Alexandria and Dakahlia, especially as these offices are characterized by work extended hours.

Digital solutions for foreign currency exchange 24/7
These offices are also equipped with ATMs machines with foreign currency exchange function 24 hours 7 days a week so that the customer can get his bank service until after the official working hours, which starts daily from 10 am to 7 pm except Friday from 2 pm Until 7 pm.

These offices are in the process of sensitizing customers to the banking services provided by the United Bank traditional or Sharia compliant, especially electronic services such as electronic wallet, internet banking services, ATM services and other services such as prepaid cards.

The two offices of The United Bank for the exchanging currencies are located the first in front of the Egyptian Shooting club and the second in the downtown area Abdel Moneim Riad street.
