The United Bank is to witness UB scholarship students graduation ceremony from Zewail City for Sciences, Technology and Innovation  

Cairo: 26th of July 2023

Under the auspices of Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashoor- Minister of High Education and Scientific Research, Zewail City for Science, Technology and Innovation graduation ceremony was conducted yesterday.  

Dr. Mahmoud Abd Rabbou- Acting as The  Chief Executive Officer of Zewail City, Lamis Negm- Sub- Governor, The Central Bank of Egypt for Social Responsibility and Ashraf El Kady- The United Bank, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, witnessed, the graduation ceremony of the Sixth Engineering class and seventh Sciences class at Zewail City for Science and technology and innovation.

The five UB sponsored students received Bachelor degree From Zewail City for Science, Technology and Innovation, with the presence of Gehane Abou Hussein- Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, The United Bank along with UB delegates.

Dr. Mahmoud Abd Rabbou- The Chief Executive Officer of Zewail City described Zewail City in his speech stating that it is a great entity and a unique scientific center on local, regional and international levels. The university adopted a recognized educational system that is compliant with the international standards in unique academic specialties. Emphasizing on the fact that employment rate indicators are very high for Zewail graduates in the first months of their graduation.

He added that Zewail City of Technology and Science ranked first on the Egyptian universities classification for the second year in row. Zewail city occupied the tenth place on an Arab Universities level according to the British Times Classification for High Education institutions.

During the graduation ceremony, the five UB sponsored students were announced to receive the BSc. in Communication Engineering, Science, Physics, Aviation Engineering, within Ethar (CSR) program for distinctive students’ sponsorship (scholarship).

Commenting on this event, Ashraf El Kady expressed his pleasure for attending the ceremony. Stating that this day is considered is a big leap towards the students’ future amid the New Republic, and emphasizing that building human is one of the most important Egypt vision 2030 strategic axes.

El Kady pointed out that the progress of countries is measured by basic standards, among the most important standards is investing in building its sons/ daughters, through developing human mental skills and using peoples’ innovative powers, and that is exactly UB’s belief and what is already set in its strategy and plans.

El Kady mentioned that Zewail City of Science, Technology and Innovation is among the most important educational institutions in Egypt. Zewail city is devoted for building Egyptian youth and qualifying its graduates with the labor market needs.

An Overview of Zewail City

Zewail City of Science, Technology and Innovation is a scientific innovative non- profitable educational institution. It was established in 2000 and inaugurated in 2011. The Egyptian Board of Ministers recognized Zewail City project is Egypt’s national project for educational renaissance. Accomplishing Dr. Ahmed Zewail’s quotation, as he said “Despite all I have achieved. my biggest dream is renaissance the Egyptian’s educational system”.

Zewail City of Technology and Science includes seven scientific research institutes in degree specializations and technology; among them are genetic medicine, energy, water resources, Nano technology, information technology and phemto technology.

Zewail City aims to providing a world-class education for Egyptian youth on Egyptian land, developing technology to serve Egypt and nearby regions and making a paradigm shift in Egypt through educational practices in education and technology. Moreover, participating in global economy that is based on technology on local and international levels.
