UB sponsored today the conference organized by The Egyptian Banking Institute, under the slogan of “Future of Work: humanizing the digital age through continuous learning and upskilling, the training arm for EBI.

The sessions discussed many important aspects that draws the human power development mechanisms in the digital age. Among these aspects are: the latest Artificial Intelligence applications in the HR field, enhancing the homogeneity between technology and the human resource in order to boost productivity and profit, shedding light on the latest training and development skills, and which innovative mechanisms to develop skills in order to set a package of applicable recommendations to improve the work environment.

Commenting on UB participation as a sponsor for the annual EBI conference, Ashraf El Kady- CEO and Managing Director said that investing in human capital is regarded as one of the biggest challenges. Egypt has a young society, 60 percent of the population are youth as per the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics CAPMAS.

The national and political strategies set by the Egyptian state and Central Bank of Egypt contributed a lot in transforming Egypt into a regional center for financial and technological transactions and services. Starting from the composition of the Higher Council for Payments, and its effective policy to encourage the citizen to join the financial inclusion system, and reduce cash trading. Enrolling the segments with least income, and those dwell in far and marginalized residences within the banking system. Consequently, merging the informal economy with the formal one in financial inclusion campaigns.

Moreover, the Egyptian market enjoys attractive factors for Fin Tech services companies. Which reflects the huge development and quick growth for this kind of investments. Moreover, the privilege of the expanded volume of the Egyptian market that will enable it to be unique in that promising field. There is also the increased level of financial culture of the citizen.

The conference was organized in order to cope with the digitization mechanisms, and development plans set for the educational and professional systems of the human element. El Kady made it clear that UB’s strategy is accomplished on five parallel aspects:

The first aspect: developing the performance of UB work team in all of the 68 branches, and headquarter. Through increasing training hours as per an intensive annual training plan including all banking fieldwork.

The second aspect: composing teams that enjoy innovative and creative skills, and qualifying them to lead in the future, under the name of “High Fliers” aiming to invest in developing the human capital, that is regarded to be among the important challenges to transform UB into a young bank with its ideas, management, and applications. That can happen through the process of developing and qualifying human powers.

The third aspect: activating the electronic learning as the most recent way to qualify banking young powers with the cooperation of EBI.

The fourth aspect: providing the highest level of social security to the work team. Through setting plans for sustainable corporate development, activating the visions towards retirement and investment tools. In order to achieve the widest measure of social security, raising the rates of UB work team sustainable growth all over the years of service and until retirement, either with medical care or with social security.

The fifth aspect: intensive and integrated process of development and qualifying for all human powers with different age segments to guarantee continual communication on the professional side, which will assure the sustainability of expertise exchange to accomplish the highest level of quality internationally.

Dr. Abdel Aziz Nosseir- Executive Manager of EBI, praised UB’s exerted efforts in developing a multi-aspect strategy. That is reflecting a firm dedication from UB’s side to develop its work team, improving their skills and abilities. By keeping in mind the importance of coping with market, needs and the quickly changing challenges.
