The Governor of Port Said and The United Bank handover residential units for low-income people in Port Fouad

Cairo: January 20th, 2021

Major General Adel El Ghadban - Governor of Port Said and Ihab Ibrahim - Director of Canal Zone of The United Bank, yesterday handed over a number of residential units contracts for the third phase of the social housing project for eligible people in Port Fouad, according to The Central Bank of Egypt initiative for low and middle-income housing in cooperation with the Social Housing Fund and real estate financing support.

Major General Adel El Ghadban - Governor of Port Said, confirmed that what was achieved in the social housing project is a great achievement. The project is distinguished by its unique geographical location in one of the most beautiful and most important areas in the world, overlooking the Suez Canal and East Port Said Port.

Ayman Mohamed - Head of Real Estate Finance, indicated that The United Bank is one of pioneers to participate in The Central Bank’s initiative for real estate financing for low and middle-income housing, which is in the interest of the citizen and the implementation of the Egyptian state’s policy towards improving the standard of living of Egyptians.

He added that the initiative of The Central Bank of Egypt contributed in the entry of new segments of customers, who are low-income, as these groups are most entitled to care. The United Bank is ranked the eighth among the banks providing service to the low-income categories.

Ihab Ibrahim - Director of The Canal Zone, added that The United Bank is characterized by its unique programs that suit all categories of people and supports the state's policy in providing adequate housing and supporting the real estate financing in cooperation with the Social Housing Fund.

Mohamed Sobh - Director of the Port Said branch, added that the customers’ turnout rate, to take advantage of the initiative of The Central Bank of Egypt for low-income and middle-income categories, is great.
