The United Bank and Baheya foundation are to sign a cooperation protocol

In the frame work of providing support to Baheya breast cancer fighters and with the huge preparations regarding new Baheya hospital in El Sheikh Zayed, The United Bank and Baheya foundation sign a cooperation protocol today, in order to continue the march of cooperation.
The United Bank is among the most important economic institutions and Baheya foundation is a private health care provider according to the best international quality standards.
The protocol has been signed upon by Ashraf El Kady- President of The United Bank, and Engineer Tamer Shawky- Chairman of Board of Trustees.
The signing ceremony was attended by Lamis Negm- The Central Bank of Egypt governor Consultant for Corporate Social Responsibility, Laila Salem- Baheya’s grand-daughter and member of Board of Trustees. And with the presence of a constellation of UB leadership and Baheya foundation. Nevine Kashmiry- Assistant Managing Director for Business Sector UB, Moataz Al Qasaby- Deputy Managing Director UB, Gehan Abu Hussein- Head of Ithar CSR sector. And from Baheya’s side, Mohamed Khalifa - member of Board of Trustees, Maged Hamdy - member of Board of Trustees, Dr. Gilan Ahmed Managing Director Bahya Hospital and Foundation.
The protocol was assigned on the sidelines of El Nas We El Bnok conference. The cooperation protocol states the continuation of UB support and social responsibility for Baheya Foundation in both financial and in- kind support. The thing that supports its march to continue the medical services with high quality to the citizen. Besides, continue other development plans and constructions of Baheya El Sheikh Zayed. Baheya- one of the biggest charities treating breast cancer free of charges, will conduct regularly an early detection to UB ladies work team, as per the slandered quality.
Baheya will provide the needed treatment to those who are facing the disease. Besides, providing special discount to other services of analysis, x-ray of all kinds inside the hospital.
Baheya foundation will also continue to organize a number of awareness workshop and sessions for UB ladies, concerning breast cancer fighting means, pieces of advice, and instructions to prevent contracting the disease, how to make self-examination, and the importance of early detection for women. All of these help in raising health care and minimizing numbers of ladies with cancer.
Commenting on the cooperation protocol, Lamis Negm stated that this protocol is a model of the banking sector compliance in support the health care, provided to the citizen, led by the CBE. As per the development strategy and community partnership with civil society institution to support executing health care projects. Health equals a whole life, including hope and humanitarian meaning and values. That’s why Negm appeals to unify efforts, in order to contribute in meeting the sustainable development priorities and resulting in achieving a tangible and direct impact on the citizen’s health.
Negm affirmed the banking sector devotion led by CBE, and great attention paid to health care projects, such as: hospitals and health care centers as a top priority in the new state. The thing that contributes in improving the services presented to the citizen and providing more opportunities to improve the quality of health services.
From The United Bank side, El Kady pointed out that the partnership protocol with Baheya is a real translation to the cooperation march between Baheya and UB. That aims to eliminate breast cancer in Egypt.
He emphasizes that the protocol affirms UB strategic approach towards supporting sustainable healthy practices and activities, regarding the citizen’s basic needs and coming on top the health care.
Al Kady added that the CSR is regarded as one of the most strategic corners in UB, which target sustainable development accomplishment, as per The United Nation goals in 2017. That’s through contributing in developing local communities and providing the needed health care.
Engineer Tamer Shawky, on his side, showed his pleasure about the protocol. He mentioned that Baheya is a model of joined efforts between the civil society and the economic institutions in the state. In the framework of CSR exerted efforts aiming to shed the light on breast cancer, especially with the increase of numbers of ladies contracting the disease and the need to provide them with health care and the need to raise the community awareness.
Shawky affirmed that Baheya El Sheikh Zayed constructions are almost done. He called it a humanitarian massive institution and expressed his optimism to treat breast cancer fighters for free and relieve their pain. He added that Baheya provides the best level of health care. As well as, the hospital is managed with new developed style and methodology, aiming to presenting the best quality to the citizen. Besides, exchanging experiences in training, developing and interactive education.
Laila Salem- Baheya’s granddaughter and member of Board of Trustees, stated that the foundation always seeks to deepen bonds of communications with its partners, cherish particularly The United Bank partnership for its distinctive place and effective role in supporting Baheya and cancer fighters, and for its sought to support Baheya El Sheikh Zayed, and contribution to let the dream of back-boning every Egyptian woman comes true.
She added that this protocol has a very special place whereas it synchronizes with the start of counting down of the inauguration of Baheya Zayed in 2023, which serves the interest of Baheya and her fighters and allow more work to continue the march of Baheya’s today success.
It is worth mentioning, that Baheya is a charity foundation specialized in early detection and treatment of breast cancer for free since 2015. It has been successfully hosting thousands of ladies since its opening until now.
Its achievements are being multifarious in presenting medical services, from early detection, to radiology, to chemotherapy, to hormones medication, besides, thousands of surgeries, and providing psychological support.
Baheya aims to fully eliminate waiting lists and seek the completion of Baheya Zayed preparations. Zayed will open its doors for around half million ladies every year, and this requires the support of all Baheya supporters and partners, in order to deepen all means of cooperation and to continue the journey to reassure every woman, early detect the disease without waiting lists and with the best international quality standards.
