The United Bank launches campaign " Month of Goodness " to feed hundreds of families in Upper Egypt and South Sinai in cooperation with لإhe Egyptian Food Bank

For the second consecutive year, The United Bank launches campaign “Month of Goodness“ in cooperation with The Egyptian Food Bank to feed hundreds of families in Upper Egypt, and specifically in the province of Minya, Behnsa center. Also in the area of South Sinai, the Governorate of Tour including the Mount of Moses, Mount El Tour and Mount St. Catherine during the holy month of Ramadan.

 

Voluntary Goodness Team

Ashraf El-Kady, Chairman of The United Bank, announced the launch of the voluntary philanthropy team of The United Bank, which consists of a large number of bank’s employees. It includes different age groups, both youth and middle-aged.

 

Conditions of selection of voluntary Goodness team

Ashraf El-Kady points out that there are several criteria for selecting the members of the goodness team. The most important of all is that he/she has a love of goodness deeds and initiative in supporting others, which urged all religions. As well as deep belief in the importance of interdependence of individuals within society to eliminate the pressing social poverty, ignorance and disease, this leads to improve the standard of living for citizens.

 

Ashraf El Kady praised the first direct contact of Goodness team by participating in the process of packing and distributing food cartons bearing the logo of The United Bank, as well as in the distribution process at the level of regions and provinces, specifically in the province of Minya Behnsa center. Also in the area of South Sinai, the Governorate of Tour including the Mount of Moses, Mount El Tour and Mount St. Catherine.

 

Sustainable Development Policy of the United Bank

Ashraf El-Kady said that the adoption of ISO 26000 by The United Bank for Sustainable Development Strategy is based on maximizing all that the individual contributes to economic and social development within society. As well as promoting the development of thought and activity of the bank’s team work within the working environment and outside of the organization's borders.

 

Selection of Upper Egypt and South Sinai governorates for distribution

Ashraf El-Kady said that the selection came on the basis of field research carried out by the Egyptian Food Bank to determine the whereabouts of the poorest families at the level of all the governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt to provide their needs of food, treatment and clothing during the holy month of Ramadan.
