The United Bank organizes the annual competition of the Holy Quran memorizers

Under the auspices of General/ Hossam El Din Imam – Dakahlia Governor, it held its annual Events of Holy Quran Competition for the year 1438 Hijri and organized by The United Bank under the system of "Ethar" for community responsibility. With the presence of Ashraf El Kady – The United Bank’s Chairman, Farag Abdel Hamid – Vice Chairman of The United Bank and the bank’s teamwork.

Also the participation of Sheikh / Taha Ziyada - Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf, Prof. Dr. / Mohammed Kenawy - President of Mansoura University, professors from the University of Mansoura and representatives of the participating provinces.

This year, 9 governorates all over the country have participated in the Holy Quran Competition and they are: Dakahlia, Gharbia, Sharkia, Damietta, Kafr El Sheikh, Minia, Suhag, Beni Suef and Assiut.

Ashraf El Kady – The United Bank’s Chairman, said that the general orientation of organizing the Holy Quran Competition is to promote the building of a generation of educated and armed youth with the latest modern scientific theories, and at the same time preserving and understanding the rules and principles of his religion and Shariaa. So it was to participate in the competition on two main themes regulatory strategies:

First Theme: Activating financial inclusion system through the Holy Quran Competition awards. That is by using the latest techniques of banking services to reach all community groups in their different geographical distributions.

This is what is currently working on it and encouraged by The United Bank management, especially for youth. And the best start to the financial system of inclusiveness was the Holy Quran Competition awards. It has been issuing prepaid cards for all the winners. Including the value of the award on behalf of the winner and his own pin code, he can through more than 200 ATM's The United Bank covers all over Egypt use the card to withdraw cash and also be used in the procurement.
Second Theme: the national participation in the renewal of religious discourse that is very important at this phase of our history. By creating a channel for community communication for these youth with authorized professors of Al-Azhar in order to qualify them with sciences that are commensurate with the basis of innovation and development.

Ashraf El Kady added that a comprehensive program was established for the Holy Quran Competition to take care of the top ten of memorizers of the Book of Allah socially and scientifically at the level of governorates.

Ashraf El Kady pointed out that the future of this nation will remain dependent on its youth and their ability to continuous development and improvement of themselves socially and practically and keeps pace with global technology. As well as the ongoing giving for the development of the country and work to build.

He expressed his great pleasure to increase the number of applicants for the competition each year. This is clear evidence of faith about a necessity to auspices the religious culture and inserting it in a strong generation capable of work and giving.

Ashraf El Kady confirmed that The United Bank will continue grazing the competition and encourages participants to think positively. It is a contest for love and faith and a fundamental requisite to build this nation.

Standardization and the conditions at the level of governorates
Regarding the annual competition of the Holy Quran standards, Farag Abdel Hamid – Vice Chairman of The United Bank – says that the overall organization of the competition comes in the framework conditions and specific rules and standards for the tests to ensure the quality of the competition in collaboration with Eman congregation in Mansoura.

It has been prepared and forming an initial and final ad hoc committee in the governorates for testing and for determining the level of competitors. As well as determine the level of competitors from Quran’s memorizers. That will be followed by central committees to conduct the second filtering among the contestants. At the end, there is the main higher committee for the selection of the top contestants.

The competition this year has included three levels of Holy Quran memorizers. The first level is for who memorize the Quran fully, the second level is for who memorize Two-Third of the Quran and the third level is for who memorize one-third of the Quran.

It was also set general rules and subscription conditions. So that the age of contestant is not less than four years and not more than 18 years old. The contestant who had previously participated in previous years also can participate if he memorizes additional parts of the Quran.
It has been accepted the participation of competitors from special needs.
