Financial Education Campaigns Outcome Announced

The United Bank announces the outcome of the financial education campaigns for the Financial Inclusion Week under the auspices of The Central Bank of Egypt

 

Ashraf Al-Kady, Chairman of the Board of Directors of The United Bank, announced that the proceeds of awareness and financial education campaigns for the financial inclusion week, which started from April 27 under the slogan "Open a bank account" under the auspices of The Central Bank of Egypt, reached about 1000 bank account and issued more than 550 prepaid cards Distributed to the winners of the Holy Quran competition organized by The United Bank annually and include the governorates of Upper Egypt and Delta.

Extending the period of the national campaign for financial inclusion

Al Kady also announced a national initiative to extend the education campaign and financial inclusion for three months till July 2017 by the same conditions and benefits. He called for the accession of financial institutions and civil society organizations to this national campaign, which aims to integrate the informal economy into the national economy.

The United Bank Campaign Objectives

The campaign aims to penetrate deeply in the marginalized areas and not covered by banking services, especially in the areas of residential and productive communities in various governorates of the Republic. And offer services and banking solutions either traditional or Shariaa compliant, especially that the bank has the advantages of large banking services and products of interest to a large segment of the target groups.

The campaign also includes the dissemination of financial culture in youth gatherings, sports clubs and summer activities centers, especially with the advent of the holiday season.

In addition, coordination was held with a number of civil society organizations who organize training and productive courses to be present directly to raise awareness of these segments of the importance of entering into the national system of financial inclusion, especially women and youth.
