The United Bank introduces "Sacrifice Deed" program in cooperation with Misr El Kheir, The Egyptian Food Bank and Dar El Orman associations

 

In continuation of the path of success achieved by “Sacrifice Deed” program in selling through The United Bank’s digital channels, which operates 24hours 7 days a week, The United Bank announced its cooperation with 3 of the largest civil society associations, The Egyptian Food Bank Foundation - Misr El Kheir Foundation - and Dar Al-Orman Foundation for the sale of sacrificial deeds and charity meat through digital channels and through 67 Bank branches, which are spread over the Republic.

 

Gehane Abou Hussein - Head of Ethar for Community Development at The United Bank - says that customers and non-customers can purchase the sacrifice deed through "Your Bank Online" digital system. Through the smart application of The United Bank (internet banking, UB digital wallet or mobile banking), the buyer can easily choose between a package of specialized programs for the sacrifice deed offered by the three institutions which varies between buying the entire deed or a share in a sacrifice or charity meat and transferring the financial equivalent to the benefit of the institution in a few seconds. Thus, the sacrifice deed’s buyer avoided the trouble and effort of going to the bank branches and was able to make an immediate donation to support the beneficiaries.

 

And to facilitate for The United Bank’s customers and non-customers, the customer can go to one of the four digital centers of The United Bank located in; Cargo Mall - Sheikh Zayed area – 6th of October City, or the Egyptian Shooting Club branch and Concord Mall in the Fifth Settlement to make the purchase of the deed directly. Then one of these institutions, for which the purchase and donation process took place, would slaughter on behalf of the buyer and distribute the meat in a fair manner according to the purposes of Sharia and contemporary reality on the incapable groups of Egyptian society.

 

Gehane Abou Hussein expressed that "Sacrifice Deed" program is characterized by many important advantages, which give a lively cooperative model among community members to implement religious rites on a civilized basis.

 

The project provides a greater opportunity to benefit from sacrificial meat and distribute it to the deserving in all governorates of Egypt, whether during the days of Eid El Adha or throughout the year as well as contributing to the development of livestock through the development of small farmers and raising the efficiency of their production and marketing of their animal products.
