The United Bank delegates 12 young bankers to attend The World Youth Forum 2022

In order to enhance the role of youth in enriching dialogue and cultural and civilized interaction between different peoples of the world and developing innovative solutions to treat a number of local and international issues, The United Bank sent an official delegation consisting of 12 young men and women who represent the future leadership of young bankers from various banking sectors in the bank, to participate in the activities of The World Youth Forum in its fourth edition 2022, which was held in Sharm El Sheikh from 10 to 13 January under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

 

The delegation includes: Ahmed Abd El Hamid - Risk Sector, Abd El Aziz Agha - Senior Manager of the Legal Sector, Tamer Soliman - Deputy Director of the Information Technology Sector, Ihab Abd El Wahab - Deputy General Manager and Head of Electronic Payment Channels, Paula Fekry - Deputy Director of Dekerness Branch, and Ahmed El Daoudi - Project Relations Manager SMEs, Nourhan Ezzat - Corporate Credit Sector, Yasmine Mostafa - Letters of Guarantee Department Head, Hazem El Gheryani - Assistant Director of Letters of Guarantee, Dalia Kirah - Assistant Director General of Transfers and Swift, Karim Amer - Assistant Director of Corporate Communications and Haytham Mohamed - Director of Corporate Communications. The delegation was headed by Moataz El Qasabi - Deputy Managing Director and Head of Risk Sector, and Germin Amer - Head of Corporate Communications at the United Bank.

About the basis to select the official delegation of The United Bank’s youth, Ashraf El Kady, President of The United Bank, says that the idea of ​​choosing a group of young people to represent The United Bank has become an annual tradition for The United Bank’s team to participate in local and international forums, on top of which is The World Youth Forum. This is out of great conviction and real belief in the importance of supporting young people for future leadership.

 

Hence the organization of an internal competition under the title "Digital transformation and its applications between the present and the future" to nominate the official delegation representing The United Bank within the corridors of the forum, more than 100 young men and women representing bankers from all sectors in The United Bank and its 68 branches all over the Republic have applied to the internal competition.

 

A committee was formed to select the best youth cadres based on several criteria, the most important of which are age, general knowledge, familiarity with the most important international issues that occupy world public opinion, the ability to express and discuss, put forward ideas and solutions related to one of the main themes of the forum.

 

Indeed, 12 of The United Bank's youth were selected to participate in the activities of the fourth edition of The World Youth Forum 2022. Their participation was constructive in a range of global issues where they presented their ideas freely and transparently. The forum is an opportunity for the peace-loving and supportive peoples of the world to meet, as well as for the integration of civilizations and cultures on the land of Egypt.

 

The opinions of the youth of The United Bank in the axes of the Youth Forum 2022

Nourhan Ezzat - the corporate credit sector - says that The World Youth Forum this year raised pivotal and future issues affecting the African continent and major challenges. The forum called on all the peoples of the black continent to unite to overcome it so that the black continent can achieve rates of sustainable development that guarantee its residents the right to live in dignity.

 

Ehab Abd El Wahab - Deputy General Manager and Head of Electronic Payment Channels - says that issues of digital transformation and the future of financial technology for emerging markets constitute one of the main topics of the forum sessions this year. The process of digital transformation is no longer a luxury, but rather a necessity in our daily lives, which prompted the Egyptian government and the Central Bank to intensify efforts to expand the base of financial inclusion.

 

Ahmed El Daoudi - Director of Small and Medium Enterprises Relations - says that the issues of education and strengthening the Egyptian identity, especially from the perspective of Generation Z (young people from 16-22 years old) were of great importance in the forum sessions which creates a new generation capable of taking responsibility and pushing the comprehensive development process forward.

 

Tamer Soliman - Deputy Director of the Information Technology Sector - shares the opinion, in addition to the need to pay attention to the quality and flow of the educational system to ensure maximizing the return on learning outcomes, whether at the level of curricula or in terms of developing its community culture and public awareness of international challenges.

 

Dalia Kirah - Assistant Director General of Transfers and Swift - says that the forum sessions in the field of environmental challenges and climate change were extensive and presented a series of difficulties and proposals to overcome them. She expressed the need for all countries of the world to come together to devise urgent solutions to environmental problems that may affect life on the planet.

 

Paula Fekry, deputy director of the Dekerness branch, shares the opinion, as climate challenges and the future of energy, especially the clean energy, have become an inevitable future for the planet as a whole. He urged all world peoples and governments to pay attention to activating the clean energy system.

 

Ahmed Abd El Hamid - the risk sector - says that the growing global role of emerging and small companies contributes to directing international policies and implementation plans for all countries on the need to establish incentives and support the sectors of entrepreneurship and emerging companies in order to eliminate unemployment and improve the level of per capita income.

 

On the other hand, Hazem El Gheryani - Assistant Director of the Letters of Guarantee - indicates that the forum reviewed the initiative of a decent life as the unique Egyptian experience globally aiming at human development.

 

Concerning the future of the creative industry and creators, Abd El Aziz Agha, Senior Manager of the Legal Sector, says that the future has become for the creators, so the attention of the entire world's political and economic forces has turned towards supporting this unique category and encouraging it to be creative, whether in industry, scientific innovation or production. It was the inventions beneficial to man and the huge technological progress. The creative industry is capable of changing the cultures and customs of peoples and spreading the values ​​of peace, democracy and the rules of respect for the other.

 

Concerning building a secure and inclusive world for women, Yasmine Mostafa - Letters of Guarantee Department Head - says that women are the half of societies, and they are economic and social forces that move peoples. Therefore, it was necessary to provide a safe and comprehensive environment to ensure maximizing its ability to work, give and be creative.
