On the sidelines of the visit of the President of the Republic, Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi, under the patronage of President Omar Al-Bashir, the President of Sudan, the delegation of The United Bank participated in the exhibition "Egy Med Pro" for medicines and medical supplies last week in Sudan, as part of the continuous efforts to increase the volume of trade, cultural and health exchange between the two countries.

With the participation of 15 companies from the largest pharmaceutical companies organized by the Export Development Authority and the Egyptian Exporters Association, the two presidents opened the exhibition and reviewed the products of exhibitors, specialized in medicines, medical supplies, cosmetics, food supplements and medical care providers.

In the division of The United Bank, the delegation launched a package of specialized banking solutions for the Egyptian exporters and owners of pharmaceutical companies and medical supplies from specialized bank financing to Egyptian exporters as well as technical consultations aimed at increasing the volume of Egyptian exports to Sudan. Whether prior to the export or subsequent export operation. As well as the extent to which exhibitors benefit from agreements signed recently by the United Bank with the African Export and Import Bank, which includes Egyptian exports to 50 African countries and an export risk insurance company.

The Bank's delegation also offered a range of digital banking services that help to facilitate the functions of Egyptian exporters and their financial transactions abroad, whether through the internet banking, mobile banking or digital wallet.

Ashraf El Kady, chairman of The United Bank, said that the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Sudan is close to one billion dollars annually with an increase of 18.9% from last year 2017, according to a report of The Central Auditing Organization. Egyptian exports are in the field of food, building materials and textiles, while Egypt imports from Sudan livestock, live animals, sesame and some other products.

 

Egyptian experiment to treat C virus and increase Egyptian exports of medicines
El Kady expressed the importance of the exhibition "Egy Med Pro" for medicines and medical supplies. Egyptian pharmaceutical products enjoy high competitiveness in terms of price and also the speed and ease of transportation, whether air transport or road transport.

Ashraf El Kady said that the Egyptian experience in treating “C” virus is one of the most successful international tests and recommended that it must be transferred to Sudan to preserve public health and treat our brothers in Sudan.

Ashraf EL Kady expects that the volume of trade exchange will double in the coming period, especially after the president's visit to Sudan and the series of bilateral agreements between the two sister countries, which have common assets and culture, as well as the importance of both countries to the other, especially in the field of export.

Sudan is Egypt's gateway to the African market and Egypt is the gate of Sudan to the European market.
