On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Egyptian Woman’s Day

In a great ceremony held at The National Council of Women on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Egyptian Women's Day, Samia Abdel-Gaber, General Manager of Upper Egypt The United bank, was honored as a strong example of the empowerment of Egyptian women in particular Upper Egypt zone, and their ability to reach leadership positions. On 16 March 2019
Samia Abdel-Gaber was the first woman from upper Egypt to take over as a branch manager for one of The United Bank branches . She has been promoted several times due to her dedication to work and her ability to achieve tangible results at the level of customers and also the community of Sohag. She was appointed as the first zone for all Upper Egypt governorates in The United Bank.
Samia Abdel-Gaber said that she is very happy with this honor, which is considered a medal of honor for all women in the Upper and Sohagi in particular, thanks to The United Bank and Mr. Ashraf El Kady, Chairman who encourage and permanent support for UB staff.
As for her role in the renaissance of Sohagi society and the Sohagi women specifically, she said: I believe in the role of women as a basic engine for both the family and society as well. She participated in a number of awareness campaigns aimed at spreading culture and awareness to women, including: "You Are a Man" campaign, "Doorways" and the National Campaign for Financial Inclusion as well as a large number of other campaigns in rural areas and villages.
