The United Bank praises the role of the Union of Arab Banks in spreading the financial culture among the Arabs

As part of the efforts to deepen the bridges of joint relations between The United Bank and The Union of Arab Banks, Ashraf El Kady, Chairman of The United Bank, received a delegation of The Union of Arab Banks headed by Wissam Fattouh, Secretary General of The Union of Arab Banks, Hani Ali - Regional Director of The Union of Arab Banks and Raghda Shamas - Director of Public Relations and Marketing of the Union.

In the presence of Farag Abdel Hamid, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of The United Bank, Nevine Kashmiry, Deputy Managing Director of The United Bank's Business Sector and Dr. Ahmed Al Ghandour, Assistant Managing Director of The United Bank, Germien Amer - Director of Corporate Communication Department.

The meeting discussed a number of important issues related to the importance of spreading the financial culture among Arabs and the Egyptian in particular, thus achieving financial inclusion. Especially that Egypt is among the candidates strongly to apply the standards of financial inclusion.

The meeting, which lasted for several hours, discussed a number of vital issues that affect maximizing Egyptian and Arab banks' efforts in financing the SME sector under the initiatives of The Central Bank of Egypt and the important Arab banks to maximize the return of this vital sector.

The United Bank has confirmed its participation in the activities of the 2018 Banking Conference, organized by The Union of Arab Banks and hosting Egypt next month, under the auspices of The Central Bank of Egypt in Cairo, under the title "Innovations of financial technology and the future of banking services".
It also reviewed the latest encyclopedia issued by The Union of Arab Banks under the issuance of the Arab Banking Laws, which deals with the set of rules and banking laws in 20 Arab countries.

Wissam Fattouh, Secretary General of The Union of Arab Banks, expressed his happiness at the visit of The United Bank, especially as the bank is one of the important banks offering a variety of innovative technological services to the Egyptian market, and it is always striving to offer banking solutions that meet the needs of customers and contribute significantly to achieve the system of financial inclusion.

On the other hand, Ashraf El Kady, Chairman of The United Bank, praised the great role played by The Union of Arab Banks in spreading the financial culture and changing the thought and culture of the Arab societies towards achieving the financial inclusion system.

El Kady added that the efforts of The United Bank is continuing to spread and activate the system of financial coverage at the level of the governorates of Egypt, especially that the bank has a network of 53 branches spread throughout the Republic.

The Bank has organized a series of seminars and workshops in a number of governorates of the Republic, especially in Upper Egypt and the Gulf Sea to raise awareness of the community, especially the youth, the importance of having a bank account. Response rates were very high. Especially as the bank has developed a number of unconventional banking solutions, including prepaid cards, which have attracted a great deal in the market. As well as a series of ongoing community activities those contribute to raising national awareness of the importance of smart digital services.

El Kady stressed that the strategy of The United Bank is based on expanding the base of beneficiaries of banking services in the Egyptian market through the application of a number of mechanisms for different segments. The most important of which are digital applications such as the recently launched bank mobile, internet banking, e-wallet, electronic payments and instant credit inquiries through I-Score, as well as sustainable community support and support services.

Ashraf El Kady said that The United Bank has a strong technological infrastructure and can absorb this high quality of banking technology, adding that the bank is always devising and introducing modern and innovative banking solutions that attract a segment of Egyptian society and meet their contemporary needs.
