The United Bank celebrates the graduation of four UBian completed the future leaders program provided by The Egyptian Banking Institute

On the sidelines of the “Evolution of Banks: Unlocking the Full Potential” Conference, in its 10th edition. Organized by The Egyptian Banking Institute for two days. Sponsored by Tarek Amer- Governor of The Central Bank of Egypt. UB along with EBI celebrated the graduation of 4 UBian completed the future leaders program provided by EBI.

Sherif El Sabaa-General Manager of UB branches sector, Noha Ayoub- Deputy Manager Strategic Planning Sector, Menna Allah Mahmoud- Assistant General Manager in the Risk Sector, Ahmed Masoud Manager in Corporate Banking Sector awarded the completion of the future leaders program from EBI.

Ashraf El Kady- President of The United Bank, witnessed the ceremony, along with Farag Abdel Hamid- Vice President, Motaz El Qasaby- Deputy Managing Director Business Sector, Dr Ahmed El Ghandour- Assistant Managing Director for Investment and Strategic Planning Sector, Mostafa Abdel Hamid- Assistant Managing Director and Executive Chief of Central Banking Operations, Mohamed El Sabban- Assistant Managing Director for Internal Audit Sector, Ahmed Hablas- Assistant Managing Director for treasury, Rehab Azmy – Assistance Managing the Retail Banking and Branches Sector, Abeer Ezzat- Head of Compliance Sector, Eman Sohaib- Manager of training and development department, and Germien Amer- Head of Corporate and Internal Communications Department.

The Future Leaders Program aims to developing skills of youth banking elite cadres. Through a group of sciences and professional skills covering many different and specialized banking aspects. As well as, the study of many international cases that enrich them with functional experience and qualifying them to successfully lead the future.

In the opening speech, Ramy Abo El Nagga- Sub Governor of The Central Bank of Egypt, mentioned that  EBI plays a vital role in developing human capital, on behalf of Tarek Amer- Governor of The Central Bank of Egypt.

Abo El Nagga assured that organizing the conference this year coincides with the 30th anniversary of EBI’s establishment. Appreciating its fundamental role in developing the human capital in the banking sector, to stay abreast with the latest information in the education field, in partnership with distinguished international and regional institutions.

Abo El Nagga assured on his trust in the Egyptian banks, leaders and workers, that they are well aware of the importance in investing in human capital, through training and sustainable learning. Emphasizing that achieving excellence in banking services supporting the state, projects and individuals during economic crisis and targeting all the society with the financial inclusion initiative and expanding the digital transformation strategies, these all will be accomplished by well- trained and qualified leading cadres, capable of keeping up with all global and local changes.

Ramy Abo El Nagga asserted that this conference is a great opportunity to exchange experiences and visions, and getting to know the latest information, in order to have the best future in banking industry.

Dr Abdel Aziz Nossier- Executive Director The Egyptian Banking Institution, contextually relevant, mentioned in his speech in the opening session that EBI’s role exceeded training. EBI was able to provide evaluating services to more than 200 thousand employees and applicants in the Egyptian banks in the past years.

EBI also provided a package of technical consultancies. And organized more than 85 field visits to European, American and Asian countries. Besides, providing a number of research papers and studies. Ending up with organizing research and innovation competitions. EBI played also an essential role in spreading financial awareness, to boost financial inclusion, through training the economic journalists, school students and University students, in order to raise the financial and banking awareness. As well as holding the training for employment program, that qualify students to work at banks. Besides, training services for 4000 trainees from 44 African countries and 12 Asian countries.

Dr Nossier added that EBI got 4 international awards in 2022. They are: The “Best Financial Training Institute in Mena Region, Best Companies Award, The Institute also got rewarded twice from International Finance Magazine, Best Company for Financial Training Services, and Best Human Capitan Development Institute.

Dr Nossier thanked the establishing entity and forever sponsor, CBE, represented by Tarek Amer. For the support that based on its belief in the institute role and message, and also its trust in the work team. Besides, the continuous motivation to those in charge of the institute.

On his part, Ashraf El Kady, expressed his pleasure for the graduation of these elite banking future young leaders. Referring to EBI’s essential role in their growing partnership, spanned a period of over 16 years. He stated that EBI takes over 60% of the annual training plan provided to UB team with different functional levels, whether locally or internationally.

The thing that contributes to enhancing the creative and innovative capabilities of UB team. As a key element to the corporate development process. As well as, boosting the corporate ability to compete in the market. And speeding up the adaptability with local and international economic changes.

El Kady praised the Future Leaders Program graduates for their distinguished level. Affirming that the UB’s top management is committed to sustainable learning and training process, and qualifying banking cadres with all their levels, aiming to developing the skills and weighing on the experience of the work team.

El Kady made it clear that the key of corporate success is laying on the human resource performance. The UB’s market share and place comes from the sustainable development of the work team performance, and building up leadership capabilities of banking cadres as per the highest international criteria. In order to establishing a firm and sustainable managerial banking system, its leaders are chosen objectively, depending on their competency and scientific excellence.
