The United Bank announces its sponsorship to the 58th African Development Bank group annual meeting, held in Sharm El Sheikh from 22-26 May 2023, under the auspices of his Excellency President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Leaders, heads of governments, central banks governorates, and ministers of 81 countries of member countries in African Development Bank group, which are: 54 African countries, 27 non- African countries among them are the United Sates of America, Japan, The United Kingdom, France, China, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and others. In addition to big tycoons, private sector businesspersons, academics, development partners, presidents of international institutions, entrepreneurs and media are all participating in this conference.

The annual meeting discusses “Mobilizing private sector financing for climate and green growth in Africa”, many important issues relating to the efforts of governments and countries to accomplish investment growth in the resources of clean renewable energy in the black continent. Coming on top of them issues relating to climate adoption, and horizons to accomplish green finance. As well as, discussing the means to encourage and mobilize the private sector investments in order to expand and grow in these two important fields to accomplish sustainable development in Africa, in addition,  FinTech role in launching sustainable and green financing.

The meetings will witness the issuance of African economic expectations report for year 2023, regarding mobilizing private sector financing for climate and green growth in Africa.

High- level delegates from The United Bank are participating in the 58th African Development Bank group annual meeting: Ashraf El Kady- Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, and Moataz Al Kasaby- Deputy Managing Director.

Commenting on UB participation, Ashraf El Kady- The Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of The United Bank, stated that the issues of the sustainable development in Africa is considered as the primary challenge of the whole continent. The thing that requires developing the African mutual mechanisms, and adopting the model of regional integration. Especially in the light of the close connection between the economic development requirements in Africa, and the need to implement regional huge projects in many fields, especially those fields that have to do with improving climate, in order to execute the integrated development plans to the black continent countries.

El Kady praised the efforts concerted by the Egyptian state, African countries, The Central Bank of Egypt and the coordination with central banks, for the sake of achieving real development to human and scientific energies of the black continent sons. That requires concentrated efforts in education and health fields, focusing on community transformation into a knowledge- based with scientific research fields and innovation integration.

The continent cultural bond in Egypt

El Kady emphasized on the great efforts concerted by the Egyptian state to develop human abilities, and connect them to Egypt. Which will support the strong Egyptian existence in the African markets. That is through the link of communication among African people. That was clear in the African- Arab youth forum held in Aswan. That forum announced in its recommendations a whole range of integration among Egypt and African countries, coming on top of them is exporting the mechanisms of decent life, through health and education programs, and focusing on the transformation into a knowledge- based community that develops and supports scientific research fields and innovation.
