Nevine Kashmiry - Deputy Managing Director, Business Sectors, The United Bank - announced the participation of The United Bank for the fourth year in a row in the National Financial Inclusion Campaign led by The Central Bank of Egypt dedicated to women from 8th to 31st March with a package of unique banking products dedicated to the Egyptian women, as well as raising the awareness with the distinguished digital banking solutions that contribute and support the role of  the Egyptian women socially and economically.

Nevine Kashmiry indicated to the statement issued by the Information and Decision Support Center of the Ministers Council that Egypt was able to achieve new progress in the field of digital technology, where the Roland Berger Foundation for Global Consulting announced that Egypt is among the top 10 countries in the world in the growth index of improved performance to achieve digital inclusion through the great availability of digital services, which is measured by the ability of individuals to access Internet services, as well as the digital policies that measure the flexibility of trust and safety measures, policies, use and privacy.

Kashmiry expressed that this remarkable progress is due to the interest of the Egyptian state and the efforts of the Central Bank of Egypt and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology as well as the rest of the state agencies to settle the goals of sustainable development in the Republic’s governorates. Also, the focus is on improving the citizen's life and the provided services level, especially in the rural areas, according to 2030 Vision.

4 national goals for The Central Bank’s campaigns to achieve financial inclusion.

Nevine Kashmiry indicated that the 4 national goals for The Central Bank of Egypt campaigns for financial inclusion are:
1.    Awareness and education for the targeted groups, whether women, youth, or residents of the areas not included financially.
2.    Opening financial inclusion accounts and getting acquainted with the package of banking services and solutions that the banking sector and its institutions provide to the citizen to improve his life.
3.    Opening accounts for economic activity to encourage electronic payments that contribute to the transformation to a cashless society.
4.    Encouraging the micro projects’ establishment by granting microfinance with competitive returns and conditions, and raising the awareness of its importance to create job opportunities and increase productivity.

Kashmiry referred to the package of banking services and unique digital solutions provided by The United Bank for Women under the name "Laky" ( For You Lady ) through 65 of its branches spread all over the Republic, as well as the digital network of "Your Bank Online" services.

She added that The United Bank offers, within the financial inclusion activities, the possibility of opening bank accounts without administrative expenses and without a minimum, in addition to a series of digital services such as internet banking, mobile banking and digital wallets with their distinct characteristics. And those who work 24 hours, 7 days a week, so that The United Bank's clients can follow up all their personal accounts, whether they are deposits, certificates, cards, or finances and make all transfers between their accounts with the utmost freedom. As well as making external transfers, whether to customers of The United Bank or non-customers, with complete safety.

Also, the digital services enable the customers of The United Bank to request the issuance of check books and alternative cards, as well as activating or deactivating the cards; in addition to the ability to conduct self-credit inquiry I-Score; and charging and paying mobile phone and electricity bills and the possibility of providing support and assistance through a group of large associations and institutions approved by the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

In addition, the request to issue or link the distinguished The United Bank certificates, whether traditional or compatible with the provisions of Sharia, as well as requesting the issuance or linking of deposits of various kinds, especially those with a prepaid return, where the customer can easily follow some instructions himself, whether through his mobile phone or via the Internet banking.
