Ashraf El Kady - President of The United Bank, announced, on the occasion of International Women's Day - that the percentage of women in The United Bank's team has reached 30%. The United Bank's board of directors was also occupied by three female competencies in the banking system.

 

El Kady made it clear that Egyptian women are living their golden age. The Egyptian state believes in the importance of laying the foundations for the economic, political and social empowerment of women in order to strengthen their positive role as a main labor force in building the nation and establishing the new republic.

 

Numbers and indicators

 

These efforts were reflected in the decline in the unemployment rate among females, to reach 17.7% in 2020, according to the report of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics.

 

Education is the most important bet for Egyptian women

Ashraf El Kady pointed out that education is the most important bet for Egyptian women. Investment in female education in its various categories, including higher education, technical education, and technical education, aims to transform female forces into productive forces and an effective partner in the sustainable development of the new republic.

 

El Kady pointed out the importance of the state's policy in linking education, especially technical education, with the requirements of the labor market. This provides an opportunity for the handicraft sector to grow and maximize its role in the national economy and contribute to reducing unemployment rates.

 

Modern applications of human resource analysis

El Kady called for the necessity of using modern technology and artificial intelligence applications to analyze and classify our human and economic resources. In order to identify the appropriate investment opportunities for each region separately and the most important industries that we need in the labor market, especially industries that are commensurate with the nature of women. For example, the pharmaceutical industry and the electronics industry need certain specifications, including: accuracy and it suits women more than men. Therefore, the data is very important for decision makers, whether local or foreign investors alike.

 

2017 year of women

 

Ashraf El Kady praised the efforts of the state since the declaration of 2017 as the Year of Women. Great achievements were made for Egyptian women, including the increase in the number of female parliamentarians to reach 25%, strong representation in leadership positions, and women gaining more legal rights to enter the field of work in its various sectors.

 

Egyptian women assumed high ministerial positions. Women have been involved in the process of sustainable development in accordance with Vision 2030. A series of outstanding achievements and unique performance of Egyptian women at the level of ministries of Planning - Trade and Industry - International Cooperation - Social Solidarity - Environment - Migration.

 

As well as the launch of the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Women 2030, which guarantees the political, economic and social empowerment of women. As well as the establishment of the Egyptian Women's Observatory to ensure strict follow-up to the implementation of the national strategy. As well as allocating an increase in percentages in the boards of directors of financial institutions, including the Egyptian Stock Exchange to reach 14.8% and banks to reach 6.1%.

 

As well as appointing 26 new female judges in the courts of first instance, 66 female judges in the Egyptian courts, and 6 female vice-presidents of the Egyptian State Litigation Authority, bringing the number of female judges to 430.

 

The performance of Egyptian women had significant marks. The era of President Abd El Fattah El Sisi witnessed the appointment of the first governorate to Damietta.
