The United Bank Launches its free screening and awareness campaign targeting “Lacky” members Forum against breast cancer in cooperation with Baheya Foundation

The United Bank, in collaboration with Baheya Foundation for Breast Cancer treatment, announced launching its free medical screening campaign for UB's "Lacky" forum members. This initiative coincides with Pink October events, dedicated for breast cancer awareness.
The campaign aims to spread awareness for early detection among UB Lacky forum members and general public.  That is considered the most effective means to raise cure rates, which can exceed 98% when the disease is discovered in its early stage.
In addition to the screenings, the bank is running a digital awareness campaign across UB social media platforms. The initiative also includes holding awareness  sessions on prevention methods and the importance of adopting a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
The events witnessed a large turnout from UB "Lacky" Forum members from various ages and different governorates. Free medical examinations were organized under the supervision of specialized medical teams from Baheya Foundation, alongside health awareness and psychological support seminars.
Germien Amer – Head of Corporate Communications at The United Bank stated that the launch of this campaign stems from UB's deep belief in the importance of promoting health and prevention to empower Egyptian women.
Added that this significant event is a message of hope, emphasizing the bank's deep conviction that investing in women's health is an investment for the future.
Amer affirmed that UB's commitment to achieving the United Nation 17 principles for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially goal number 5, which concerns women's empowerment and achieving gender equality. Adding that women represent the beating heart of giving and inspiration, and supporting and empowering women is a human, professional, and social commitment.
Bahya Foundation emphasizing on the fruitful cooperation with The United Bank over the past ten years, through breast cancer awareness campaigns directed to UB "Lacky" Forum members and internally among UB female staff in addition to campaigns across all governorates, especially in South Sinai and Upper Egypt. They also acknowledged the Bank's therapeutic support for Baheya's warriors.
Stressed that hope for recovery begins with the step of screening. They also emphasized the importance of expanding the scope of awareness to reach the largest number of women, which contributes to increasing cure rates.
