The United Bank wins the second place in “Using AI in enhancing cyber security” competition organized by The Arab Media Center in collaboration with the Egyptian Banking Institute

Hussein Abdel Hamid and Hassan Magdy El-Shorbady- The United Bank, have won the second place in the research competition- 2nd edition organized by The  Arab Media Center in collaboration with The Egyptian Banking Institute.  

Under the scope of “Using AI in enhancing cyber security in banks” Many banks had participated in the competition on the side lines of “El Nas we EL Bnok ” conference- 18th edition.

The research discussed the role could be played by AI techniques in enhancing cyber security in banking industry, and how can banks get benefit out of the multiple AI techniques in E-learning and how to develop human powers using huge data bases. As well as, addressing security flaws and means to combat them with specialized programs in information security, such as: phishing, fraud, ransomware and domestic threats. Furthermore, combating electronic crimes and huge damage caused to corporates and institutions. The research also paid huge attention for AI supported techniques to discover security threats and improve the effeciency of human resources. 

The research presented a set of recommendations for the best practices of AI techniques, and predictions regarding AI development in deep learning and behavioral analysis in order to improve cyber security in the field of banking services.

It is worth mentioning that Hussein Abdel Hamid- has BSCs in Information Technology El Mansoura University. While, Hassan Magdy El-Shorbady- has BSCs in Business Administration from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, in addition to a range of training courses and specialized certificates in cyber security from a number of local and international educational institutions. 

Commenting on this occasion, Ashraf El Kady- The United Bank president, expressed his happiness by the two UB team winning.

He thanked all the organizers: The Arab Media Center, EBI, and participated banks for the exerted efforts to bring the competition in that distinctive way.

El Kady added that developing UB’s work team skills, either banking or technical skills, has always been among UB’s top strategic priorities. Hence, investment in training plans that include range of educational programs. Coming on top is the High Fliers program, overseas missions, professional practical training with a number of foreign and local educational institutions, such as EBI, and Frankfurt Center for finance and administration. The thing that enhances the corporate vision and organizational work to improve the innovative behavior and develop the skills and scopes of knowledge of the participants.
