The United Bank is to sponsor Asdaa association for the advancement of the deaf to win second places in the International Robot Challenge in the New Administrative Capital

Cairo: November 30, 2025
Under The United Bank sponsorship and in the covered sports hall at the New Administrative Capital hosted the activities of the International Robot Challenge competition, with the participation of more than 1500 competitors from various governorates of the Republic, in an enthusiastic atmosphere that embodied the spirit of innovation and the role of science and technology in developing the skills and abilities of the new generations.

Three teams from Asdaa association for the advancement of the deaf, hard of Hearing, and cochlear implant users participated in 3 sub-competitions within the International Robot Challenge in the fields of: Japanese Wrestler Robot (Sumo) – Bowling Robot – Line Follower Robot. The three teams won the following:
•    Second Place – Best Robot Performance (Bowling Robot) – Team: Horse Power
o    Champions: Osama – Yuana – Jana | Coach: Omar Alaa (Hard of Hearing)
•    Second Place – Best Performance Strategy (Line Follower Robot) – Team: Falcon Eye
o    Champions: Adnan – Bilal – Aya | Coach: Youssef Ali (Deaf)
•    Second Place – Best Programming (Japanese Wrestler Robot – Sumo) – Team: Black OX
o    Champions: Abdel Rahim – Nour – Yasmine | Coach: Nader Sherif (Deaf)

The participants presented innovative models of "Lego" robots, challenging their competitors from other teams, and confirming their creative abilities despite the sensory challenges.

Gehane Abu Hussein – Head of Social Responsibility, The United Bank – expressed that the performance of the three teams was exceptional, noting that the members of Asdaa association have the capability, knowledge, and skill with which they were able to prove their ability to innovate and compete confidently in the fields of technology, robotics, and artificial intelligence.

Samy Jamil – Founder of Asdaa association for the advancement of the deaf – confirmed that this success came as a result of integrating sign language with programming vocabulary in an innovative way, which allowed participants with hearing disabilities to reach this impressive level of performance. He praised The United Bank's support for achieving these honorable results.

Commenting on the achievements of Asdaa association teams for the advancement of the deaf, Tarek Fayed – Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, The United Bank says that the shift towards the knowledge economy necessitated decision-makers and officials to focus on discovering talents and developing innovative thinking skills, especially among people of determination (People with Disabilities).

He added that Egypt possesses unique capabilities capable of local and international competition, if they are given the opportunity and provided with environmental and community support.

Fayed stressed that building the human being is the basis of true development, referring to The United Bank's national and institutional commitment to enhancing social inclusion programs and empowering people of determination, and providing an environment that opens the doors of the future for them in the fields of innovation and technology. These young people are an essential part of the fabric of Egyptian society, and are capable of leading new paths in the world of robotics, programming, and artificial intelligence.
