The United Bank is to award the first banking transaction customer with "Millionaire Certificate" in the 68 branches for the New Year 2025

For the fourth consecutive year, The United Bank is celebrating the New Year with its customers in a unique way under the name of "Golden Hour" at all its 68 branches, where a “Millioner Certificate awarded to customer conducting the first  banking transaction in 2025.
Commenting on this annual tradition, Ashraf El-Kady, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, The United Bank, stated that this tradition reinforces the high market value of the "Millionaire Certificate," which is one of the well-known Sharia-compliant takaful certificates in the market since 2001 and is considered a form of permissible agency in Islamic law.
El-Kady added that the number of "Millionaire Certificates" issued has exceeded 788,000, with 551 millionaires across UB 68 branches distributed throughout Egypt.
Regarding the certificate privileges, El-Kady pointed out that "Millionaire Certificate" is Sharia-compliant because it is a form of permissible agency in Islamic law, as stated in the Quranic verse: "They said, 'We have lost the king's cup, and whoever brings it will have a camel-load and I will be his surety.'"
He added that "Millionaire Certificate" is five-year term and offers its customers additional benefits, such as; the opportunity to enter 32 monthly withdraws for prizes total of 4 million Egyptian pounds annually.  This includes 10 withdrawals for 100,000 Egyptian pounds and 20 prizes for 50,000 Egyptian pounds, in addition to the grand prize of one million Egyptian pounds twice a year in the February and August withdraws.
It also provides an investment opportunity managed according to Islamic banking principles, offering an accumulated return paid at the end of the five-year.
Citizen can purchase "Millionaire Certificate" from any of UB 68 branches spread across the country for only 100 Egyptian pounds, providing an opportunity to win the grand prize of "one million” Egyptian pounds and become a millionaire.
The United Bank announced monthly the winners’ names through its official website and social media pages.
Both, The Fatwa House and Egyptian Dar Al-Ifta have approved "Millionaire Certificate" as being compliant with Islamic law.
