The United Bank announced its participation in the Egyptian Women’s Summit, organized by the "Top 50 Women Forum" in cooperation with Nile University. The event is held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and in partnership with the National Council for Women (NCW) and the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA).

This participation aligns with The United Bank’s national strategy and ambitious plans to effectively support the initiatives of the State and the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to empower women and youth. The goal is to enhance their role in building the national economy and leading digital transformation and innovation pathways in accordance with Egypt Vision 2030.

The summit is held this year under the theme "STEM and Future Innovation Summit." The two-day event featured specialized sessions, a career fair, networking spaces for exchanging expertise, and partnerships between universities, financial institutions, and private sector companies. Additionally, it included innovation competitions and practical workshops for STEM students and recent graduates.

The United Bank participated in the summit’s activities through:
•    The Career Fair: Attracting young talents and competencies.
•    Entrepreneurship Workshops: Providing sessions on startups within the "NilePreneurs" initiative, sponsored by the Central Bank of Egypt.
•    Financial & Digital Packages: Offering services to over 6,000 participants, including customized banking solutions for youth and women, financial inclusion accounts, mortgage services, and digital services such as Internet Banking, Digital Wallets, and Mobile Banking.

Commenting on UB participation, Tarek Fayed, CEO and Managing Director, The United Bank, stated that the bank’s involvement is part of a national strategy aimed at empowering women and youth through innovative financing and digital solutions.

He added that the bank provides specialized technical consultations in innovation and entrepreneurship to support their journey from the initial idea to creating a real opportunity, moving them from ambition to successful practical reality.

Fayed explained that investing in the capabilities of women and youth, particularly in STEM fields, has become a primary driver of economic and social growth in Egypt. Therefore, The United Bank seeks, as a national development partner, to achieve a more inclusive economy through support plans for entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, and enabling underserved groups to access financial and digital services.

Fayed further noted that The United Bank works to enhance economic empowerment by joining national initiatives and strategic partnerships, foremost among them the "NilePreneurs" initiative. This initiative represents a model of integration between the banking sector, universities, and the private sector, aiming to support startups and SMEs through financial services and technical consultations such as training, marketing, and qualification for bank financing.

These services are delivered through The United Bank’s Business Development Service Centers (BDS) in Minia and Dakahlia, alongside its network of 68 branches nationwide. The NilePreneurs centers also facilitate business licensing, support the integration of the informal economy, provide networking services between entrepreneurs and supply chains, and simplify access to appropriate bank financing.

The United Bank is also exerting significant efforts to expand financial inclusion through awareness and literacy campaigns across several governorates under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt. These programs are specifically directed toward women, youth, people of determination, and low-income individuals. Furthermore, the bank collaborates with universities and civil society organizations and participates in the "Decent Life" (Haya Karima) presidential initiative, providing specialized financial products to increase the reach of financial services to individuals, micro-enterprises, and various economic activities.
