The United Bank Announces the nomination of the economist Omar Muhanna as independent non-executive chairman and the banking expert Yahya Kamel as an independent non-executive member 

Cairo: 24th of November 2024

The United Bank announces earlier today nominating the prominent economist Omar Abdel Aziz Ebrahim Muhanna, as an independent non- executive chairman and the banking expert Yehia Kamel Mohamed Youssef as an independent non- executive member aiming to enhancing UB strategy, consolidating its leadership in the market and achieving sustainable development.

Omar Abdel Aziz Ebrahim Muhanna has wide experiences in the fields: financial policies, commercial banks and investment banks. As he held many senior positions in a number of local and international institutions. Among them was the position of non- executive president of Corp Lease Company for financing lease, and a Vice President and Managing Director of Misr Arab African Bank. In addition to his long expertise in the field of developing corporate, banking and industrial growth strategies, through his work as a board member of the Egyptian Industries Federation and a board member of Palm Hills for Development. Furthermore, he was the former president of The American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and the current president of Egyptian- American Business Council.

Yehia Kamel Mohamed Youssef the prominent banking expert has extensive expertise in the banking industry and public economic policies. The thing that will enhance UB’s economic vision, and support the decision making process towards sustainable growth. As he assumed several leadership positions in many local and international banking institutions, such as Misr International Bank, and the deputy Managing Director and Executive board member for Audi Bank in Egypt.

This step reflects stepping forward into UB future development plans, and supports the efforts exerted to overcome the economic local and global challenges.
