The United Bank and Shorouk Academy Partnership to Boost Financial Inclusion
Cairo, January 8, 2025:
The United Bank and The Higher Institute of Computer Science and Information Technology, Shorouk Academy have signed a memorandum of understanding to foster financial inclusion and prepare graduates to enrol in workforce.
This partnership aims to create a new generation equipped with knowledge and technology. The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohamed Salah El-Din El-Sayed Metwally, Dean of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technology – Shorouk Academy and Mohamed Abdel Nabi, Head of Financial Inclusion at The United Bank.
The partnership will involve a series of specialized training programs, exclusive banking products for students, and internship opportunities. The goal is to promote financial and savings culture among students which align with The Central Bank's initiatives for financial inclusion.
Ashraf El-Kady, Chief Executive Officer, The United Bank, stated that this partnership would help develop and enrich students’ skills and prepare them for the market.
Dr. Mohamed Salah El-Din El-Sayed Metwally, Dean of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technology – Shorouk Academy emphasized the importance of this collaboration in producing graduates equipped with the skills needed to thrive in the modern workforce.
