The story of Student from El-Menya government who Wins One Million Pounds from the United Bank

Amal Haitham Farouk Mohamed, a high school student in El-Minya Governorate, has become the latest millionaire, after winning the grand prize for the Millionaire Certificate, The United Bank in February 2025 withdraw which allow her to join UB millionaires club.
Amal lives with her family in the Minya Governorate. Her mother decided to keep small sums of money in bank certificates in both her name and her sisters.  She bought two Millionaire Certificates for each one of them. Amal did not pay much attention to this matter, as she saw this money as just a means to secure future after graduating from university.
One day, Amal received a phone call from The United Bank along with a representative from the Ministry of Social Solidarity, informing her of news that she did not initially believe.  Amal had won the grand prize of the Millionaire Certificate monthly withdraw, which worth one million Egyptian pounds in the electronic withdraw of the Millionaire Certificate. She was shocked, to the point that she call back The United Bank to verify the validity of the call. Indeed, the head of UB El-Minya branch confirmed the news and set an appointment for Amal to collect the one million pounds with her legal guardian.
Suddenly!! This call turned Amal and her family life, announcing her entrance UB millionaires club. When Amal was asked about her future plan after winning the grand prize, she wisely replied that she would continue her studies and develop a long-term plan in cooperation with her UB financial advisor to ensure her financial future.
Thus, the 18-year-old student, Amal Haitham, became the talk of the people, not only because she won the grand prize for the Millionaire Certificate, but because she chose to make money a tool to change her life and the lives of those around her. She also became a source of inspiration for many conscious young people, emphasizing the importance of saving and investing in education, no matter the circumstances.
Commenting on this event, Ashraf El-Kady, CEO and Managing Director of The United Bank, stated that the number of Millionaire Certificates issued have exceeded 788 thousand certificates, including 551 millionaires across UB 68 branches spread throughout the Republic. The Millionaire Certificate is considered one of the oldest Takaful certificates compliant with Sharia law in the market since 2001, as it is one of of Ja'ala (a type of Islamic financial transaction) forms permissible by Sharia.
Regarding the certificate’s advantages, El-Kady explained that the Millionaire Certificate complies with Sharia law.  It’s a 5 years certificate that grants its customers many advantages as ;the opportunity to enter 32 withdraws throughout its duration for total prizes equal to 4 million pounds annually.  The100 thousand pounds prize is awarded 10 times a year, and 50 thousand pounds 20 times a year, in addition to the grand prize of one million pounds that is twice a year, in the February and August withdraws.   
The certificate also provides an investment opportunity, in accordance with banking rules compliant with Sharia law, where a cumulative return is granted and paid at the end of the certificate duration.
A citizen can buy the Millionaire Certificate from any of UB 68 branches spread across the Republic for only 100 pounds, through which they can achieve the dream of obtaining the grand financial prize, which is the "Million Prize" and become a millionaire.
The United Bank provides its customers the winners names knowledge each month through its official website, and also through social networking sites along with publishing an advertisement announcing the monthly withdraws.
UB Sharia Authority and the Egyptian Dar Al-Ifta have approved the Millionaire Certificate in terms of its compliance with Sharia law.
