North Sinai Governor is to witness the delivery of prosthetic devices for disabilities within the medical convoy organized by “The United Bank” and Misr El Kheir foundation

The United Bank launched its medical convoy in North Sinai, with the cooperation of Misr El Kheir foundation, and in the presence of Major- General Khaled Megawer, Norther Sinai governor. The convoy distributed its medical and prosthetic devices in: El Sheikh Zoyed, El Areesh, Bear Abd, Rabaa, and Romana. The convoy included providing medications and medical transfers.

Major- Genral Megawer expressed, his gratitude to The United Bank and Misr El Kheir foundation who helped handicapped in North Sinai. He also expressed his great pleasure in participating in such an important celebration. He stated that Egypt has eliminated black terrorism in a very short period comparing with other terrorism- inflicted countries. He praised the wise political resolutions in this issue to achieve sustainable development in all regions of our nation.

Gehane Abou Hussein- Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, The United Bank, expressed her pleasure in participating in this event, along with words of faithful gratitude and appreciation for the important partnership with Misr El Kheir foundation, in assisting disabilities. She also thanked Mr. Ashraf El- Kady- Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, The United Bank who spared no effort in providing support and assistance for disabilities. Hence, a range of convoys directed for them in North Sinai.

She assured that delivering prosthetic devices reflect the deep national call  and duty to help disabilities in North Sinai. Reassuring that UB and Misr El Kheir foundation are always ready to provide them with all kinds of support and services needed. 

Dr. Afaf El Gohary- Head of Health sector in Misr El Kheir foundation, expressed her pleasure with the continual cooperation between UB and Misr El Khir foundation in many fields serving eligible benefactors, especially disabilities in our precious land Sinai. That cooperation included launching medical convoys for PODs that examine them and provide them with their needs.

She added that the convoy directed to POD in North Sinai included: examining more than 600 eligible benefactor in El Sheikh Zoyad, El Areesh, Rabaa, and Romana Centers. Along with providing them with all required medications. Moreover, the delivery of prosthetic devices that comprised 107 hearing aids, 26 wheel chair (14 electric/ 11 head strokes/ 1 child), a number of 82 prosthetic (below and above the elbow/ below and above the knee/ splints/ leather shoe/ quartet canes/  walkers/ knee installation belt).

Moreover, a number of glasses were delivered within the convoy and a number of medical transfers that need medical reference. Referring to the health sector in the foundation was able to provide almost 13 million services all over the Republic since 2007. She clarified that the Health Sector in Misr El Kheir foundation has successfully distributed within the prosthetic devices program (62 chairs/ head strokes/ 150 chairs standard and toilet chair), 56 prosthetic devices, 124 hearing aid pieces, and provide maintenance to a number of 4 cochlear implants).
