Ashraf El Kady, President of The United Bank stated during his participation in the opening session of The Future of Data Centers Summit, yesterday, that the digital financial solutions of The United Bank are created by Egyptian youth and regarded as the best in the market.

 

That was in the presence of Ministry of Communications and Technology, Engineer Amr Talaat and Engineer Tarek Shabaka - President of the conference and CEO of MCS, Hossam Salah - the executive operation and president of The United Company for media services, Dr. Sherif Hazem – Sub-governor of The Central Bank of Egypt for cyber security sector, Ahmed Mekky - Chairman and CEO Benya Group, Ahmed El Swedy - Deputy Manager of El Swedy Electric group, Ehab Derbas - Senior Director of KSA & EGY F5, Hossam Saleh - Technology TMT expert and Mohamed Kholief - Digital transformation consultant.

 

Ashraf El Kady stated that there are 6 local and international indicators that support the Egyptian State approach and The Central Bank of Egypt plans and execution towards the digital transformation. These indicators are:

 * The repercussions of Corona Pandemic.

 * Developing customer- culture towards reducing cash usage.

 * Growth number of bank accounts, especially with The Central Bank of Egypt launching national campaigns for financial inclusion, to reach 56.2 by the end of 2021 according to the last report of the CBE.

 * The increasing number of youth and their mind-set towards the digital payment methods and services.

 * The wide spread of cellar phone usage.

 * The growth of electronic trade in Egypt.

 

The state and The Central Bank of Egypt policy towards digital transformation.

El Kady announced that the Egyptian State approach is to make use of all its tools and mechanisms along with The Central Bank of Egypt initiatives to spread the digital transformation serves and maximize its in-put in the national income. The step of adopting the financial inclusion policy and expanding the digital services and solutions field in all the Egyptian institutions is a step that came too late.

 

El Kady added that this approach will serve the gross of the national economy as it saves effort and time to get the service. Referring that many developed countries in the world took serious steps towards this approach to get benefits of Technology development in many life aspects.

 

He intensifies the importance of FinTech in the banking sector, stating that since he assumed the responsibilities as the Chairman of UB in 2016, he has devoted himself to put a strategy based on technology and digitization while servicing the customers.

 

The United Bank is a digital Bank.

Ashraf El Kady announced that UB strategy is adhered to the innovative youth assistance. He made it clear that after five years the bank that will make its customer goes to, will be regarded as an unsuccessful bank.

 

He expressed that The United Bank is devoted to offer the help to its customers anywhere anytime around the clock, in work, at home, or in any other place in the world, without any human interference.

 

He added that UB strategy based on a group of youth capable of innovation aiming to service customers in the most distinctive way.

 

The increase of digital services in the market contributes to broad and home trade stimulation

El Kady announced that with the increase of electronic trade size and operations, the world has become in a dire need of new kind of banking transactions characterized by flexibility in service and in time. That’s what is been applied in UB to be able to reach the largest base of customers, and providing them with distinctive banking services. Besides, attracting new segments of customers. Especially with the growing number of small and medium projects and the increase of local and international investments, characteristic by cost reduction, and developing human resources to cope with this kind of smart international digital services provided.

El Kady declared that UB obliged itself to an enormous interest towards developing all its technological systems and infrastructure to sustain the strongly requirement of financial inclusion. Qualifying youth to cope with labor market requirements

El Kady stated that UB working environment depending on youth under 37 years old, along with experienced employees. This mixture encourages interchanging communications between the two generations which reflects on the quality of services provided to customers and overall ultimate development of the country.
